چکیده

Abstract Background After major bile duct injury (BDI), hepaticojejunostomy (HJ) is usually required. This can lead to good long-term patency but anastomotic stricture unfortunately remains common cause of morbidity after BDI. Although risk factors for adverse outcomes BDI repair are reasonably well understood, there a need assimilate high level evidence establish specifically development HJ Methods was systematic review studies reporting rate performed according PRISMA guidelines. Where possible, meta-analyses were then Results The included five with total 2,155 patients from 17 studies. An increased shown amongst concomitant vascular (OR 4.96; 95%CI 1.92-12.86; p = 0.001), post-repair leak (OR: 8.03; 2.04-31.71; 0.003) and by non-specialist surgeon 11.29; 5.21-24.47; < 0.0001). Level Strasberg Grade did not significantly affect the 0.97; 0.45-2.10; 0.93). Due heterogeneity it possible perform meta-analysis impact timing on rate. Conclusions Repair only modifiable factor revealed this review, which demonstrates importance broad awareness these data. That said, knowledge permits evidence-based stratification follow-up as better informed consent understanding prognosis who have experienced require HJ.

BACKGROUND Iatrogenic biliary stricture (IBS) is a disastrous complication of cholecystectomy. Although the endoscopic treatments are well accepted as initial attempts for IBS, surgical hepaticojejunostomy (HJ) is often necessary for a considerable proportion of patients. However, the anastomotic stricture after HJ also occurs. METHODS In the present study, a new procedure, progressive balloo...

The Success of Endoscopic Stenting for Anastomotic Stricture of Hepaticojejunostomy after Pancreaticoduodenectomy in a Child with Pancreatic Injury

The management of pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) complications for pancreatic injuries in children is rarely reported. We performed PD for an 8-year-old boy with severe pancreatic injury due to a traffic accident. However, the patient suffered from anastomotic stricture of hepaticojejunostomy. We performed repeated double balloon endoscopy (DBE) dilation and stenting for the anastomotic stricture...
